Pianist Regan Russell is driven by a passion for musical collaboration, storytelling and scholarship, and joyful creativity. With a husband previously in the armed forces, she has had the opportunity to collaborate with musicians across the country, from the Boston area, to Los Angeles, to Washington, D.C, and most recently to Tampa, FL. Some of her most notable roles include serving as pianist for MassOpera and Opera on Tap, as a staff pianist in the voice departments of El Camino College and Santa Monica College, as a Senior Associate Pianist with the National Children’s Chorus, and as coaching faculty at the BU Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Vocal Program. She currently works in the Tampa Bay area as a freelance accompanist, vocal coach, private piano teacher, and a certified Music Together instructor for mixed-age classes.

Dr. Russell holds degrees from Washington State University (BM Piano Performance, Phi Beta Kappa) and Boston University (MM Collaborative Piano Performance, Pi Kappa Lambda; DMA Collaborative Piano Performance). When not behind the keyboard, she can be found trying a new recipe, reading historical fiction novels, crocheting a sweater for one or the other of her children, or meeting friends at the local coffeeshop.
